Chaperones
The Practice prides itself in maintaining professional standards. For certain clinical examinations during consultations a chaperone will be required. A chaperone is an impartial observer during these consultations who is trained to observe the procedure. Please contact our reception team prior to your appointment to organise this, or a chaperone can be organised on the day of your appointment. Our clinicians will always offer you the choice of having a chaperone present prior to these examinations.
You are free to decline any examination or request an alternative clinician or chaperone. You may also request a chaperone for any consultation or examination if one is not offered to you. The clinician has the right to not undertake an examination if the offer of a chaperone is declined.
