Surgery clinics

We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using the Accurx service.

Clinics held on practice premises

The following clinics are external organisations situated on The Tollgate Practice premises. All clinic dates are subject to change.

Asthma

You should attend regular check-ups and have an appointment with the practice nurse at least once per year to review your asthma. You will receive guidance on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and advice on your medication.

If you have a home blood pressure monitor, you can submit your readings to the reception team via the website. To submit your readings, please use our online blood pressure review form.

Diabetes

If you are diabetic, you must have a regular check-up with our practice nurse at least one per year to review your condition. You will receive guidance on lifestyle, advice on your medication, and the nurse will advise if more regular reviews are required.

Flu vaccinations

The flu vaccination is available from September to March each year. If you have a long term condition or are aged 65 or over, you can book an appointment from the last week of August, depending on the delivery date of the vaccines to the surgery.

The surgery occasionally holds flu clinics on Saturday mornings. These will be advertised on the website, posters in the waiting area, and patients will be informed via text message.

Maternity

You should self-refer to the maternity services department by calling 01206 742369.

Vaccinations

Routine and travel immunisations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

Travel immunisations must be booked at least six weeks prior to your journey. Please complete the travel immunisations questionnaire (Word) prior to your appointment. One of our clinicians will then assess your requirements.

Please be aware that not all vaccinations are available for free on the NHS and there may be a charge. There may be a delay in ordering vaccines for travel as these must be ordered direct from the manufacturer or via wholesalers.

Please contact the administration team to book an appointment with one of our clinicians.
