Vaccinations

Flu

The flu vaccination is available from September to March each year. If you have a long term condition or are aged 65 or over, you can book an appointment from the last week of August, depending on the delivery date of the vaccines to the surgery.

The surgery occasionally holds flu clinics on Saturday mornings. These will be advertised on the website, posters in the waiting area, and patients will be informed via text message.

The NHS website provides further information about who can get it, how to book and where to get the vaccine.

Travel vaccinations

Routine and travel immunisations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

Travel immunisations must be booked at least six weeks prior to your journey. Please complete the travel immunisations questionnaire (Word) prior to your appointment. One of our clinicians will then assess your requirements.

Please be aware that not all vaccinations are available for free on the NHS and there may be a charge. There may be a delay in ordering vaccines for travel as these must be ordered direct from the manufacturer or via wholesalers.

Please contact the administration team to book an appointment with one of our clinicians.

COVID-19

COVID-19 vaccination is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against COVID-19.

The NHS website provides information about the vaccination, who can get it, and safety and side effects.
